WHO CAN PLAY? WHAT CHARACTERS ARE ALLOWED?

0hlala is an open community. Anyone who wants to join can do so and the setting is accepting of characters from all kinds of canons, including fantasy, sci-fi, superhero, historical canons and the like. If you can think up some magic, timey-wimey reason that your character should find themselves in modern day Paris, we'll take it. We accept canon characters, AU characters, original characters and fandom OCs.
WHAT'S IN THE SETTING?
While everything you might imagine you could find in the real Paris is available to use within the setting of this sandbox, it is meant to be a pretty loose modern city setting that can offer all you could need to meet your coffee shop au and florist wants. This space welcomes tourists, gangsters, politicians, socialites, random guy on the street and his superhero friend. Historical time travelers, sci-fi visitors, aliens and other crack ideas. All is good.
WHAT KIND OF EVENTS ARE THERE?
Every week an in-setting newspaper will hit the streets, presenting some of the many options available to those who need an idea about what to play in the form of announcements and similar openings. There might be a review of a new exhibit at a museum, some gangster crimes that have taken place, political decisions that have an effect on local affairs and the like. There will also be job ads and give-aways to amusement parks and events. Some of these things will be put up as meme-ish posts, open to all.
IS THERE A NETWORK?
There is, in fact, a network. Upon arriving or when living in the city, characters can access an online network on their phones or computers where they can talk to other Parisian citizens and exchange info, smalltalk, whatever they deem necessary. The network has no separate community, but network posts can be tagged as such and there's a formatting code here, though using it is completely optional.
WHAT IF I BREAK THE RULES OR SOMEONE ELSE DOES?
There is no strike system in place in0hlala, but if problems are brought to the mod, I will initiate dialogue with the players in question and figure something out. Worst case sccenario, in extreme cases, someone could get banned, but we'll try not to go there.
